From Nadina Libertoire, USA

I have taken two of Raquy’s 8 week Darbuka courses, and I’m currently enrolled in my third course—the Level 2 summer semester course. I’ve looked forward to each and every weekly class on FB live! But if I couldn’t make it to the live, I love knowing the classes are saved and I can still take the class at a later time. I have learned a lot so far, from learning how to play the Darbuka basic sounds, different rhythms, refining my technique to learning compositions. I learn something new every week and I’m really happy with all the progress I have made thanks to the knowledge that Raquy shares in her courses. These classes bring joy to my week and put me in a good mood 🙂

From Rena Tajima, Japan

This online class is very organized and you can actually feel your improvement in Darbuka through the course. Sometimes it’s hard to catch up with the class on time because she teaches some complicated hard rhythm, but it makes the class even more challenging and more fun so I love it!!! It’s also good that you can review the class later with a video so you can learn with your own pace.

Raquy’s Darbuka Level 1 Live Classes were just what I wanted - an introduction to the basics of the split finger method with an emphasis on proper technique. Each class involved a warm up, review of the previous class, then something new to work on. The opportunity to ask questions and post videos to get Raquy’s feedback was very helpful. And Raquy is upbeat, enthusiastic, patient and supportive. So much at such a reasonable price! I’m really glad I took this class and highly recommend it - both for beginners and more experienced players who want to go back and get grounded in the basics.
